An answer to prayer

My coronavirus prayer on the Circuit Connect website (http://www.herefordshiremethodists.org.uk/connect) acknowledges that we sometimes don’t know what to pray. I was feeling like that the other evening when I went up to my prayer room (a luxury of a 4-bedroomed house). We had an iconographer at my last church (yes, it was Methodist and so was he) and I have one of his icons on my wall. I’ve not mastered praying with an icon (and it is praying with, not praying to). I did opt to pray before it but with my eyes closed, and just poured out my thoughts and feelings to God. After saying the Lord’s Prayer, I opened my eyes and looked at the icon and what I felt/saw was hope, a sense that there will be resurrection.
